About library
A complex librarial, bibliographic and information service: acquiring and cataloging both Czech and international medical literature, an on and off-site book loaning service, the provision of a local and international inter-library loan service, searching medical databases and linking electronic and web resources (including full text e–books and e–journals), building, updating and managing ‘The Database of Publication Activities of the Academic Staff of Charles University in Prague, Second Faculty of Medicine’; providing a photocopy and print service; running reference, promotion and publicity activities (exhibitions of both Czech and international medical literature, previews of recently acquired literature, as well as alerts on medical web sites).
Library participates in the teaching of students in all accredited study programs at the Second Faculty of Medicine
Library organizes seminars and events to support education (information literacy, effective learning, critical thinking, etc.).
Library provides support in creating e-learning courses

Library Cards
Students of the Second Medical Faculty have access to the Library /Department of Scientific Information/ with the personal Charles University Student Card (standard version or combined with ISIC card).
